On the initiative of  Mr Kolumban Baumgartner from Switzerland in cooperation with his business partner in Guinea , the first drinking water station was set up at the neonatology department of the Donka public hospital in Conakry/Guinea/West Africa.

Every child in this hospital ward, its parents and hospital staff receive at least 2 litres of healthy drinking water per day. In addition, the population is offered water at fair prices so that as many people as possible can benefit from improving water quality.

Water is pumped up with solar energy directly on site and produced in the ultrafiltration process of the company Trunz Water Systems AG Switzerland up to 5000 litres of drinking water of the highest quality per day. The drinking water produced in this way is free of viruses and bacteria but contains all the important minerals.
